Trick Or Treat

Savy was so glad Halloween finally arrived...she's been ready for days! Mackenzie came over to go trick or treating with us.

Jon and Tommy (Mackenzie's dad) stayed behind to hand out candy. Kendi and I took the girls around the neighborhood. Scarlett was all bundled up in her stroller, and she was content just to watch her big sis.

Our first stop at Dan's house

Random decorations....our street really gets into the spirit!

We ran into Suzie, Abbey, and Zoe and visited a few houses with them. They turned up missing after a while...I think they hitched a ride on one of the many "hayrides" driving around the neighborhood.

Then we ran into one of Savy's little friends from preshcool, and Savy was determined to finish out the trick-or-treating with her and her little brother.

They were so cute together. This little girl lives just down the street from us...we really need to set up some play dates. She and Savy get along great together.

Holding hands...the ultimate sign of friendship

This house always has really scary decorations. The pic isn't too great, but this is a real person/vampire in a coffin in their front garden...she was sitting up and talking to the children as they came by to get candy.

Savy kept a close eye on the severed head at Byron and Monica's.

Audrey came over when we were done with trick-or-treating. She and Savy took advantage of the fire Jon made earlier and roasted marshmallows.

We didn't have any graham crackers for 'smores...or any kind of crackers for that matter. The girls were so disappointed, until Jon came up with the idea to use Kit-Kats ...he's so resourceful!

I think we had more trick-or-treaters this year than we did last year...and that's a LOT. We bought twice as much candy this year, and we still would have run out if Tommy hadn't brought some of his own.

Looks like the girls had a wonderful time. Savy is a regular little people person. She has lots of friends, doesn't she? She looked so cute in her outfit. Nice pictures!

I love the picture of the two of them eating their smores at the bar. Looks like they're really engaged in some sort of conversation. LOL!
