Baby Pics

I intended to get some cute pics of Savy and Scarlett together today, but I just didn't get around to it. I did manage to get some close-ups of Scarlett so everyone can see just how much hair she has.

Here are just a few quick shots. The lighting inside is so dim that I have to use the flash on the camera, and it always scares her. So I took her outside where the light is better...not because I was trying to take artsy photos in the grass. I like a cute artistic newborn portrait as much as the next person, but those "oh, look, someone left a baby in a basket on top of this piano out in a lilac field" pics are just a little much.

And here are a couple of random pics....Savy holding Scarlett in the hospital and the bow (courtesy of Suzy) and balloons on the mailbox.

I'm Back

Sorry I haven't posted, but I've been a little busy. As you know from Jon's post, everything went just fine. The surgical team and anesthesiologist knew about my ordeal with Savy's delivery, so they were extra nice and made sure that everything went smoothly this time. Scarlett and I were able to come home on Sunday. She had her first week checkup with her pediatrician today, and he said she looks great. Savy is adjusting well and just loves her little sis.

I have a few more photos to post from our hospital stay...I'm going to try to get back on track with that tomorrow. And I promised Nanny that I would post photos without the little cap. Scarlet has a head full of black hair...the surgical nurse said she had enough hair for three babies!

More very soon.

It's a Girl!

This is Jon filling in for Christy. Everything went perfect yesterday. There were no problems at all. The Doctor and medical team were awesome, so much better than last time.

Almost There

Janet called last week and asked if we could come by the office because they had a gift for the baby, so we went to visit today. In addition to a very generous gift card, we got these monogrammed burp cloths...they're almost too pretty to use. I blacked out the name on the photo since it's not public knowledge yet, but you can see "S" is the initial.

They gave Savy a gift too...a monogrammed pillowcase that matches her room perfectly. She couldn't wait to put her pillow in it. I have a fluffier pillow upstairs that I'll put it in after I iron it.

They are really pretty. Kim, a Trinity nurse, did the monogramming.

After the office, we went to the playground again. This time Savy wanted to check out the historic house there. She thought someone lives there and was determined to visit with them.

She knocked on all the doors. When no one answered, she sat down to wait for them to come home. It took some time to convince her that no one actually lives there.

She thought this was a wishing well. It must have been a well at one time, but it's been filled in with dirt up to ground level.

We also went through the automatic car wash on the way home....Savy LOVES the car wash. Car's clean, house is clean, all baby stuff is assembled. All I have to do is install the car seat.

Holy Cow! We're having a baby in 2 days!
