Savannah has been asking to make a gingerbread house, so I finally picked up the supplies. She couldn't wait to get startedt this morning.
I did most of the icing, and the girls put the candy on.
Savy's very excited here because I told her she could decorate the last gingerbread man however she wants.
And she gets right to it. Scarlett can't keep her fingers out of the icing on the house.
Look what's happening in the background while I'm busy taking photos of the finished house....Savannah is eating frosting directly from the bag, and Scarlett is actually trying to take a bite of the house.
Busted!
I had to move the house to the counter for its own protection.
Again with the frosting.
Wow
Crick, our elf, came back at the first of the month when we decorated our tree.
He goes back to the North Pole every night to report to Santa if the girls have been naughty or nice, then he shows up in a different spot the next morning. Jon overheard Savy asking Crick if he'd bring a picture of Rudolph back with him so she'd know Rudolph is real. It took a while to find a realistic image, but we printed this out on photo paper for Crick to "bring back."
Savannah was pretty impressed. Yesterday I heard her asking Crick for a photo of Rudolph during the daytime so she could see him better. So Crick was holding this photo when she found him this morning.
Being an elf is hard work!
